Why we use it

- To keep the website and its forms secure.
- To improve the assistant and the information on this site, using chat questions that visitors ask.
How your documents are protected
Documents you upload are stored privately on our server, outside any public web folder. They cannot be opened by link. Only authorised admissions staff can open them, through a signed-in staff account. Your upload link is unique to your application; please do not share it.
Who we share it with
We do not sell personal information. We use service providers to run the site, such as hosting and email delivery. They may process data on our behalf.
The chat assistant can use an artificial-intelligence service to write its answers. When that is switched on, the text of your chat messages is sent to that provider to generate a reply. Please do not put passwords, payment details or other sensitive information into the chat.
International processing
Apex University is registered in the United States and operates from Nigeria, so information may be handled in both countries and by providers in other countries. We handle it in line with the data protection law that applies, including the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 where it applies.
How long we keep it
We keep information for as long as it is needed for admissions and record-keeping, and then delete or anonymise it. You can ask us to delete your information sooner, unless we need to keep it to meet a legal obligation.
Your rights
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to object to its use, or to withdraw your consent. Email edu@apex-versity.org and we will respond within a reasonable time.
Cookies and storage
This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. The chat assistant stores your conversation in your browser's local storage for up to 24 hours so it can continue if you reload the page; you can clear it any time with the “new conversation” button or your browser settings.
Changes
If we change how we handle personal information we will update this page and its date.
